My name is Austin. I’m a technician here at Laser Service Solutions and today I’m going to show you how to empty your Candela Mini GentleLase or Mini GentleYag System of water. In order to drain your Candela, Mini GentleLase or Mini GentleYag system, you’re going to need two things: You need a 530 2nd Allen wrench, and you’re going to need an empty container to put your water.

  1. First of all, you have to locate the side that has the DCD or Cryogen and also the reservoir on. And this is the panel you’re going to be removing.
  2. You’re going to get your Allen wrench, you’re going to insert it into one of these locks here, twisted to the left on both sides, and that takes the panel off for you.  You’re going to lift it off. There you go.
  3. Locate the valve, which is the bottom of the machine here, and you’re going to just twist that knob on the side and it’s going to allow the water to drain from the reservoir. Usually, it takes about a minute to two minutes to drain completely.

Thank you for watching. If you have any questions on filling or draining your system, or if you need to actually get one of these field drain kits, feel free to contact us.
